About the House Theatre of Chicago As the years go by, we at The House have been working hard to figure out what we're all about. Why do we do what we do? How can we continue to build a community with our audience? Check out this quick primer on our mission and culture.

In the hipster hierarchy of The House, these cats would be "The Suits." Learn more about the Fundraising, Budget-approving business and community leaders currently sitting on The House Board of Directors. 
The House Vanguard Members are energetic young professionals in the Chicago community working together to increase the number of theatre-goers at House productions. The Vanguard Members expand the awareness of The House through word of mouth, planning and hosting social events and inviting interested groups to attend productions. The Vanguard Members also support The House's fundraising and audience development initiatives as needed. 
If practicing on a skateboard, giving impromptu dramatic readings from dated graphic novels, talking about heroes and villains and listening to music all day can be considered work, these are the ones who do the work to keep The House running day to day. |
