Stay tuned, friends. We'll update you as we know more. For now, follow us on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, or join our Email List to get the earliest updates. Onward, comrades.
In response to the mandate issued by the State of Illinois and City of Chicago on March 12, The House will be canceling all remaining performances of Verböten, as well as our upcoming production of Henry V at the Chopin Theatre venue. Our annual fundraising event, The Spectacular, will not occur as planned.
Our live-action escape game, The Last Defender, which hosts small groups no greater than 16 at the Chicago Board Game Cafe, will take a hiatus and return no sooner than seems responsible to our community and staff. Ticket holders can reschedule for future dates.
Dennis Watkins' The Magic Parlour will take a hiatus through March. The Magic Parlour will re-open only when we determine it is safe for our team and our guests to do so. Ticket holders can reschedule for future dates.
If you are currently scheduled to attend a show at The House, we invite you to communicate how you would like to handle the value of your tickets or Memberships. You’ll be able to choose to keep a credit on your account for a later date, donate your tickets’ value to help keep The House open and able to support the theater you know and love, or receive a refund.
We are all heartbroken, but considering the situation, it is very clearly the best way The House can support the health and safety of our community. We look forward to coming back together to laugh, and cry, and celebrate through our Amazing Feats of Storytelling with you in the future.
