Verböten Remote Viewing
Music and Lyrics by Jason Narducy
Book by Brett Neveu
Directed by Artistic Director Nathan Allen
REMOTE VIEWING - APRIL 21 TO MAY 4
In its premiere production, Verböten was a spectacular, raucous, and joyful full-body embrace of punk love by a team of performers who left it all out on the stage for audiences night after night. It's always bittersweet to close a show, but it’s especially hard to close one at the zenith of its success. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating the artists who created Verböten with the kind of send-off their work deserved.
The House is excited to offer pay-what-you-wish remote viewing with the professional, two-camera recording made by HMS Media of a live performance of this critically-acclaimed hit! Telling the true-ish story of how punk rock saved the lives of four Evanston kids in 1983, Verböten celebrates how music makes us less lonely and forges bonds that last a lifetime.
Remote viewing happens at home! Once you purchase, you'll receive a confirmation via email with details about how watch, including the video link and your one-time-use password. You'll have one week from receiving it to use it. Stream on your computer, phone, smart TV, or any other web-enabled device.
The video includes closed captions for those who are d/Deaf or hard of hearing, and for anyone who’d like to read along with Narducy’s lyrics and Neveu’s touching book.
Closing Party hosted by Tony-Award Winner Michael Cerveris
SATURDAY, MAY 2 AT 7:30 CST
Join a two-way “Closing Night” Zoom hosted by one of the show’s biggest fans, two-time Tony Award Winning Broadway Actor and Real Life Rockstar, Michael Cerveris! That’s right- you too can party virtually with the original Pinball Wizard himself! Michael will lead some “closing night” discussion and fun with the creatives and we’ll all raise a glass together to send the production off in style. Tickets for that event are extremely limited in order that those participating can really connect with each other, so if you’re into it- act fast!
Cerveris is a two-time Tony Award and Grammy Award-winning actor for Fun Home, The Who's Tommy, and Assassins, (also Lucille Lortel Award) with additional Tony nominations for Evita, LoveMusik, and John Doyle's Sweeney Todd.
Over the years, Cerveris has sung on tours with Pete Townshend, The Breeders, and Stone Temple Pilots, opened for Frank Black and Vic Chestnutt, and recorded with Teenage Fanclub and members of Sonic Youth, The Posies, Sleater-Kinney, and Guided By Voices. Narducy and Cerveris met touring with Bob Mould. He has also sung with New York City Opera, National Symphony in DC, New York Philharmonic, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, and Lincoln Center. Cerveris has recorded two solo albums for his label Low Heat Records, Dog Eared and Piety, and three releases with his Americana band Loose Cattle.
